In Loving Memory

Betty Carol Wilkinson, 94, went to be with Jesus her Savior on Thursday, August 22, 2024. The first born child of Joseph and Beatrice (Tuttle) Goldfine on Christmas Day, 1929, in Superior, WI. She graduated from Superior Central in 1948. Betty married her loving husband, Richard Wilkinson on December 2, 1949. Together they raised their three children in Scanlon, MN. Wilk’s job took them to Billings Montana in 1981 and they enjoyed their time there until returning to Cloquet in 1985 upon his retirement.

Betty was blessed to visit the Holy Land twice, accompanied by her very loving mother Bea. That was a dream come true. Betty and Richard enjoyed spending their winters at their home in Sarasota, FL. She was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord with all her heart. Her many prayers for her children, grands and great-grands have been felt and will continue to bless them for years to come.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; sister, Patrica Byrka; and brothers-in-law, Thomas Martinson and Roman Byrka.

She will be greatly missed by sister, Nancy Martinson; brother, Harry (Peggy) Goldfine; son, Rick (Lori) Wilkinson, their children, Nathaniel, Isaiah, Uriah, Elonda, and Stephanie; daughter, Robin Wilkinson and son Aaron; daughter, Kelly (Daniel) Lundquist and their children Daniel, Anna, Sever, Sadie and Rosalie; and 24 great-grandchildren (one due in Dec.)

The family would like to give a special thank you to Inter Faith Care Center for all the love and kindness shown to Betty over the last 4 years.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to: Beth Yeshua Twin Ports, Mariner Business Center, Superior, WI 54880.

Visitation: 4:00 pm until the Funeral Service begins at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet, MN. A dinner will follow the service. To sign the guest book and leave an online tribute, see www.atkinsnorthlandfuneralhome.com

Atkins-Northland Funeral Home

Atkins-Northland Funeral Home

Almost 100 years ago, a group of 21 funeral providers came together to serve our community with the Northland Cooperative Burial Association. Our Cloquet community was famous for opening cooperatives and the funeral business was no different. There were many changes to follow in both our ownership and location until 2009 when we were purchased by Bob and Karen Atkins. The couple changed our name to the Atkins-Northland Funeral Home and later retired.

Betty was a much loved sister in the Lord Jesus. She lived next to me for a short time. We had many good conversations about Jesus in our lives. Thank you Lord that she is with you enjoying her mansion Father God provided for her. I look forward to seeing her again when I get there.
