Bill Enders, devoted father, brother, and friend, died January 25, 2022, in his home in Monterey surrounded by family. He is survived by his daughter, Lauren Enders-Bell, son-in-law, Ricky Bell, long-time partner, Cathy McCoy, brothers Jerry Enders and Tony Enders, sister Frances Enders, sister-in-law Ann Enders, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Francis Gilbert Enders, mother Evelyn Teresa Enders, and brother Clarence Joseph “CJ” Enders . Bill was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania Sept 19, 1949. He was the second of five children of Evelyn and Frank Enders. The family moved to the Monterey Peninsula in the late 1950s. Bill graduated from Seaside High School in 1968. He was a wrestler, surfer, and motorcycle enthusiast. He founded Bill's Monterey Custom Motorcycles in 1972, and he co-founded the Ephesians Motorcycle Club in 1973. He has contributed much to the Monterey Peninsula, including toy runs for local families in need, fundraisers for Polly Klaas and Christina Williams, and he was a founding member The Monterey Bay Surfing Association with his brother Jerry. Bill’s presence on the Monterey Peninsula will be sorely missed by many. He was an iconic figure and a caring human being. Once you were in his circle, you were in his circle for life. He was loyal and would give the shirt off his back for you. He was a very special person and we all loved him very much.

Mission Mortuary opened its doors in 1946 at a location on Munras Avenue in Monterey and moved to our current location on Camino El Estero in 1952. While times certainly have changed, Mission Mortuary has continually adapted to meet the evolving needs of our families....
