Billie Jack Sadler age 80 of Venice, Florida previously of Hartville, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, October 28th. Bill was born on January 2, 1943, in Jackson County Tennessee to the late Jack and Betty Laurine (Crabtree) Sadler. Bill loved fishing, guns, westerns, and visiting friends at the Venice Moose Lodge with his wife, Linda. Bill served his country in the United States Army and retired from Timken Steel in Canton, Ohio. He was an accomplished athlete at Lake High School in Hartville, Ohio and he loved cheering for his beloved Cleveland Indians and Browns. Bill was a resident of Venice, Florida for the past 20 years. As a Venice resident, Bill was recognized for volunteering over 1000 hours to the Venice Regional Bayfront Hospital. In addition to his mother and father, Bill is preceded in death by his brother, Joe Sadler, first wife Patricia (Clubbs) Sadler, and son-in-law Cole Barker. He leaves behind his wife of 21 years, Linda (Shott) Sadler; sister Ann (Sadler) Cassetty; children Kristi (Sadler) Barker, Nikki (Sadler) Caudill, Brett Sadler, Lori (John) Bantum, Kristi (Troy) Johnson, Amy (Steve ) Beechy, and Edward Shott III. He will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and his dog, Toby. Calling hours will take place at Arnold Funeral Home on November 6, 2023 from 12:00-2:00 followed by a graveside ceremony. Bill will be laid to rest at the Mount Peace Cemetery in Hartville, Ohio.
