Bob "Bobby" Spry
April 23rd, 1963 - June 10th, 2022
Bob Spry (Bobby) 59 of Columbia SC passed away at home on June 10, 2022. He was born in Logan WV on April 23, 1963. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Bob Spry Sr. and Virginia Lee Mills, his two sons Robert Adam Spry and Christopher Lee Spry and his brother-in-law Danny Dee Hatfield. He is survived and deeply missed by his loving wife, Darlene Spry, of 39 years. He is also survived by one sister Virginia Lynn Spry Hatfield of Islandton, SC, one brother-in-law James Alan Evans of Logan WV, his army buddies, his work family, numerous other friends and relatives, and his beloved fur babies Oscar and Seti. Bob proudly served his country as a medic in the Army for over 24 years, retiring in 2012. He spent two tours of duty in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. Bob never met a stranger and could talk to anyone about any subject. Everyone who met him met a good friend and he will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 1:00 pm at The Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Prior to the service a visitation will be held from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn on 845 Leesburg Road Columbia, SC.
