Bruce William Angus

Bruce William Angus, 78, of Ocala, Florida passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 at his home in Ocala. Born in Genoa, NY, Bruce moved to Ocala five years ago from Ormond Beach, where he had lived the previous 17 years. Bruce was a Navy veteran, and served as a courier between ships during the Viet Nam era. He was self-employed in stencil sales, and worked in property management. Bruce earned many awards for his work in sales. He also was the owner of Morrows Nut House in Boca Raton, Florida and Big Olaf’s Ice Cream in Redondo Beach California. Bruce enjoyed tennis, golf and watching football, and cooking. He traveled as often as he could. Bruce loved his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Laurette Angus, of Ocala, children, Mark Prost and his wife Shannon of St Louis Missouri, Steve Prost and his wife Suzanne of Deerfield, Illinois, Richard LaPlante of Goffstown, New Hampshire, Catherine Jenco and her husband Rob of Mahwah, New Jersey, and Patricia Mintel, and her husband Jeff of Ocala Fl. Bruce was also blessed with 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 23, 2022 a 2 p.m. at Hiers Baxley Funeral Services Timber Ridge chapel.
