Bruce Bernard Bong, 62 of Barnum died Monday, September 12, 2016 in Essentia Health-St. Mary's Hospital, Duluth. He was born September 6, 1954 in Bell, California. He had been employed as a welder for Burlington Northern Railroad. Bruce enjoyed living on the lake, camping, fishing, hunting, and spending time in the outdoors. He loved to barbeque and get together with his family and friends. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Bernice Bong. He is survived by his children, Jake Bong (Myranda Carrier) of Cloquet, and Brook (Jamie) Polling of Danville, CA; grandchildren, William and Nathon Polling; brothers, Jim (Kathy) of Alborn and Bob of Carlton; sisters, Janet Grover of Proctor and Cindy VanHoever of Cloquet; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
