Bruce Lee Tolbert

Bruce Lee Tolbert, 64, of Black Forest, Colorado passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, in his home. He was born on July 14, 1957, to Sidney and Kathleen Tolbert in Lubbock, Texas. Bruce attended Ernest Righetti High School in Santa Maria, California and graduated in 1975. That same year, he also received his Eagle Scout rank from the Boy Scouts. He later earned a degree in Agricultural Business from California Polytechnic Institute. After a successful career as an award-winning landscaper, Bruce became the General Manager for Lianro Metal Roofs in 1998. Here he met Llana Tuttle. Together they forged a strong business partnership and a deep friendship. The two soulmates ultimately married on October 5, 2007.Bruce enjoyed cooking, supporting the community, and everything about the outdoors, especially hiking, backpacking, and exploring the Utah canyons. He spent many years as a Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 459 mentoring young men and growing many to the rank of Eagle Scout. He helped numerous troop members discover a passion for the outdoors that continues today. The outdoors was Bruce's sanctuary, and he used his passion for landscape photography to make the beauty of the world accessible to everyone. He is preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen. He is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Llana Tolbert; his three children, Lee (Katie) Tolbert, Kevin (Elizabeth) Tolbert and Lisa (Chris) Underwood; two stepsons, Russell and Ross Sciaraffa; father, Sid Tolbert, brother, Ken (Christina) Tolbert, sister, Christine Tolbert; five grandchildren, Lorelai, Alice, Gracie, Harvey, and Sienna, and one on the way Adeline; and nieces Ashley and Susie.
