Burt Clarence Greenfield, Jr.

On Monday, October 4, 2021, Burt Clarence Greenfield, Jr., was wrapped in the arms of our Lord & Savior. He married his one true love, Margaret Greenfield, in 1963. Together they raised two biological children and two adopted children. They lived in the Colorado Springs area for last 45 years. Burt enlisted in the US Army in 1958 from San Francisco, California, and retired in 1978 from Fort Carson, Colorado. He retired at the rank of Sergeant and served in the Vietnam war. After retiring from the US Army, Burt became a locksmith and owned D&D Locksmith Service. He was active in the Salvation Army Church where he was a Senior Soldier and held the position of Corps Cadet Sergeant, Assistant Corps Sergeant Major, Disaster Canteen Relief Coordinator, along with various other positions. From his love of gold panning, the great outdoors, his corny humor, respect for other veterans and soldiers, and willingness to help anyone in need, it was hard not to love Burt. He was the most patient, kind, and loyal man. Burt is survived by his loving wife Margaret; their four children and their spouses: Ruth and Michael Stieb, Burt III and Caroline Greenfield, Edna and Shawn Donohue, and Christina and Jason Ragon; eleven grandchildren: Michael Stieb, Madison Parsons, Matthew Stieb, Ambrosia Stieb-Black, Shane Greenfield, Rebecca Donohue, Joy Donohue, Andrea Tyra, Kimberley Martinez, Jacob Ragon, and Jason Ragon Jr.; Four Great Grandchildren: Emma, Tyler Jr, Tiberius, and Staison; and his nephew, John Greenfield.
