Carl V. Adams

Carl Adams of Security was born March 15, 1937 to Clyde and Mabel Adams in St. Francis, Kansas and passed away suddenly May 22, 2014. He was the youngest of four children with two brothers and a sister, all of whom preceded Carl in death. During his childhood he played sports in school for which his family was very proud. He graduated St. Francis High School in 1956 and continued on to graduate with a Bachelor's degree from Ft. Hays State College in Ft. Hays, Kansas. He then served four years in the Army in France where he was a Crytotype specialist.Carl moved to Colorado Springs in 1966 and immediately called Colorado his home. He quickly became a devoted Broncos fan and an avid Rockhounder. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and watching sunrises and sunsets. Carl's dedication to his rockhounding and woodwork will be what he is best remembered for.
