Carl E. Curtis, age 74, of Venice, Florida, passed away on March 9, 2008. He was born in West Branch, Michigan on November 1, 1933. He owned and operated his own construction company. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Elaine; children, Cindy Gildersleeve & John Curtis both of West Branch, Michigan; brothers, David & Virgil West Branch, Michigan; four sisters, Mary Lucas of Alger, Michigan, Geri Oliver & Dorothy Clayton both of West Branch, Michigan and Betty Carmen of Oregon. He also leaves behind four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
