Carl Raymond Jensen, 87, of Carlton passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024. He was born on July 3, 1936 in Askov, Minnesota to Raymond and June Jensen. Carl was the second of six children in his family. Carl graduated from Askov and went to work at Elliot’s Meats, part time at Franks Market, he also was a mail carrier and a teacher at NERCC. Carl and his seven children enjoyed having and going to horse shows. This was one of his happiest times. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cribbage, and running a petting zoo for his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Janice Roby; daughter, Vickie Anderson; granddaughter, Cassie Brown. Carl is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Jeanne (Hanson); children, Danette (Darrin) Edwards, Mike (Stephanie) Jensen, Mark (Kami) Jensen, Patrick (CarolAnn) Jensen, Laura (Paul) Harney, Nancy (Mark) Vermilyea; sisters, Joyce Fey, Arlene (Duane)Anderson; brothers, Jerry (Ollie) Jensen and Larry (Evelyn) Jensen and 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th st, Cloquet, MN Arrangements entrusted to Atkins Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet.
