Carl F. Lamparter, Jr.

Carl F. Lamparter, 86, of North Port, Fla., Passed away peacefully Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, at Tidewell Hospice. He was born and raised in Cleveland, OH, and had a successful sales career there in the automotive parts business. For the past 21 years, Carl lived in North Port and was actively involved in the community as a Board of Director and long-time member in the North Port Country Club Estates and Sumter Green Neighborhood Association. He was also a faithful member of the North Port YMCA. Carl was a USAF veteran of the Korean War. He loved auto racing and went to the Indy 500 every year. He also had a deep passion for airplanes and flying, photography, and traveling. Carl was a wonderful father and husband who cared deeply for others and had a boundless joy for life, his family, and his friends. We will miss him deeply. Carl is survived by his wife, Geraldine, his son, Jeff and his wife Frances; a daughter Terri Wells and a granddaughter, Nicole Wells. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois (Carr) Lamparter and his brother, Ralph. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2015, from 3PM to 5PM at the chapel of Farley Funeral Home in Venice, Fla., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 5PM, and a reception at the Family Table Restaurant in North Port. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Tidewell Hospice.
