June 20th, 1935 - April 30th, 2017
Carl “Mike” I. Myklebust, Jr., age 81 of Littleton, Colorado quietly passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017. Mike was born in Kansas City, Kansas in June 1935. He graduated from Prairie Village High School and continued his education by attending the U.S. Army Dental Laboratory at Ft. Sam Houston. Mike served in the Army from 1952 through 1957, and continued serving in the Texas Army National Guard. Passionate about golf, Mike was a Founding Member of the Bear Creek Golf Club, and organizer of the “Breakfast Club” group there. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends. Mike owned dental laboratory businesses in Houston, TX, Albuquerque, NM, and Denver during his 50 year career, and was well known for his perfectionism in the dental field. Mike is survived by his wife, Joan, of 26 years, his sons Scott and Chris, and Chris’ wife, Kim. He has six grandchildren: Carson, Carly, Kelly, Kaila, Mason and Sarah. Mike was preceded in death by his first wife, Gloria, daughter Carla, and son Mark.
