Louise Turner Ericson, age 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 18, 2018.Louise was born on November 23, 1934 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to J. C. and Pearl Turner. She was raised in Oklahoma City and Bethany.Louise graduated from Putnam City High School in 1953 and attended Oklahoma A&M College where she met Richard Nave Ericson. They were married in June of 1955. Following Dick's two years of Army service, she completed her degree at the University of Oklahoma in 1958. Louise and Dick moved to Shreveport, Louisiana where Louise had fond memories of their young family life. She loved poetry and wrote delightful poems for her grandchildren's birthdays and other special occasions. Her grandchildren were the highlight of her later years. Louise spoke only the kindest words about others and was a faithful and encouraging friend. Upon their retirement, Louise was always game for an adventure with Dick as they explored Colorado and especially their favorite mountain town, Crested Butte.Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Clarence Turner and Cara Pearl Turner; and her brother, Joseph Turner.
