Carolyn Padgett Anderson, 82, of Ballentine, entered into eternal rest, Friday, February 19, 2016 at her home. Born Friday, January 26, 1934 in Walterboro, SC she was a daughter of the late Christian Daniel and Ida (Jones) Padgett. Mrs. Anderson was a Silver Life Master Bridge Player, as well as an avid sports enthusiast. She was also an outstanding employee for the 120th ARCOM at Fort Jackson, where she retired after 20 years of dedicated service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings. She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard "Dick" Anderson, with whom she shared a union of more than 62 years; son, Rick Anderson, Jr. (Cory); daughter, Susan Anderson; two grandchildren, Richard Anderson, III, and Ashleigh Anderson; sister, Betty Jean Cribb; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Sunday, February 21, 2016 in the Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209. The family will receive friends at Dick and Carolyn's home following the services at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
