Carolyn Ann Tenney

Carolyn Ann Tenney passed away in Colorado Springs at 2:08PM on February 22, 2021 at the age of 71, and went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ.She is preceded in death by her father, Herbert Green Schultz; mother, Lydia Paulette Schultz; uncle, Henry Baker; aunts, Ruby Baker, Lennie Mae Schultz, Lyndall Tatum (Kalkbrenner), Francis Garroutte; and uncles, Ralph and George.Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, John Burdell Tenney of forty-eight years. They were married in Del City, Oklahoma on September 29, 1972 at First Southern Baptist Church.She is lovingly remembered by her brother, Herbert Wayne Schultz and wife, Kathy of Choctaw, Oklahoma; her niece, Jenny Davidson, husband John; and great niece, Rachel, of Wewoka, Oklahoma; her nephew, Jeff Schultz and family, Henry and Heidi Schultz of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is lovingly remembered by a host of friends and cousins.Carolyn was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on August 5, 1949. She graduated from Midwest City High School in 1967 and went on to earn an AA Degree from Wagner Institute of Theology in 2012. She worked as Pastoral Care Minister for nine years. Carolyn spent over forty years ministering to people in Church services, Christian Conferences, Home Groups, and through her own ministry, Locks-N Keys. She was an ordained minister helping people work through their difficult issues of life.A private Visitation will be held 10:00AM-12:00PM, Friday, February 26, 2021. Attendees will be capped at 75 people and masks/facial coverings are required. Funeral Service will be held at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home, Midwest City, Oklahoma with Pastor Andy Finch officiating. Interment to follow at Schwartz Cemetery on 89th and Anderson Road, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
