Catherine R. Riley

Graveside services for Mrs. Catherine R. Riley of Columbia, will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC. The family will greet friends from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Catherine R. Riley passed and reunited with her loving husband, Abraham B. Riley, Jr. on November 16, 2021. Born in Ridgeway, SC she was a daughter of the late C.B. Robertson and Fannie Mae Butler Robertson. Catherine was a retired nurse. She was a renowned Jehovah Witness, and was a member of the Five Points Congregation in Columbia, SC. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who was respected and loved by all who knew and met her. Catherine is survived by her children; son, Jerome Jackson of Ogden, Utah, daughter, Carolyn Jackson of Dallas, GA, son, Roosevelt Jackson, Jr. of Columbia, daughters, Jacqueline Santiago of Columbia, Michelle Riley of Columbia; grandchildren, Mesa Dixon, Ramon Santiago, Anthony Riley, Fernando Santiago, Jasmine Riley, Jeremiah Dixon, Kevin Tobias, Jr., Joshual Walker; and a host of great-grandchildren; sister, Veola Watkins, and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Catherine was predeceased by her brothers, David, James and Willie Lewis Robertson. The family would like to give special thanks and appreciation to Chris Hopkins and his late parents for their thoughtfulness over the years.
