Charles F. "Charlie" Porter
February 19th, 1939 - August 20th, 2020
Charles F “Charlie” Porter, 81, passed away Thursday August 20th 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents James Porter and Susan-Peel Porter of Orangeburg and eight siblings. Mr. Porter is survived by his brother Harvey, his sisters Ruby Manley and Mildred Earnest, along with a large loving family including dozens of nieces and nephews with hundreds of cousins. A graduate of Will Lou Grey Opportunity School, Mr. Porter was a retired watch and clock repairman working for the finest jewelers in the state. Mr. Porter was a member of Eau Claire Baptist Church. A celebration of life service will be planned once it is safe to gather in crowds. The family asks that memorials be made to Will Lou Grey Opportunity School and Eau Claire Baptist Church. Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia is assisting the family.
