Charles Mytron Lisby
May 18th, 1950 - February 2nd, 2025
Charles Mytron Lisby of Winter Haven, Florida died Sunday, February 2, 2025, and immediately was entered into the presence of God Almighty. Born May 18, 1950, to Raymond and Marjorie Lisby, Mytron married Kathy Jean Rambadt on August 21, 1971. He is survived by Kathy and their daughters, Marci (Aaron) Seaman and Melanie Lisby, and three grandchildren, Gavin, Dylan, and Madeleine Seaman. Mytron came to know Jesus Christ as his savior at a young age and in his later years served Him faithfully through both faith and works. Mytron served as a Deacon and played in the orchestra at Faith Baptist Church, Winter Haven, Florida. Mytron was a graduate of Fillmore High School, DePauw and Purdue Universities, also attending Indiana State and Ball State Universities. He was a teacher and administrator in Indiana (Brookston, Chalmers, Royal Center, Veedersburg, Hartford City, and Terre Haute) and Florida (Kissimmee and Celebration) for 43 years. Mytron served as the first president of the Indiana Association of School Administrators and served as the State Liaison with the National Association of Secondary School Principals. He served as the National Director of Contests for the United States Twirling Association. Mytron is survived by brothers Don (Judy), Dale (Jeanne), sister Anita Miller, brother-in-law Rod (Karen) Rambadt, sister-in-law Louise Rambadt, along with several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Faith Baptist Church, Winter Haven, Florida. Visitation will begin at 10am followed by a service beginning at 11am. Memorials may be made to Putnam County Community Foundation “Raymond and Marjorie Lisby Scholarship Fund” (Greencastle, Indiana), Faith Baptist Church “Deacon’s Fund” (Winter Haven, Florida), or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
