Charlie was born February 12, 1925 in La Junta, Colorado to Harry L. and Lora R. Lindgren. The family moved to a farm southeast of Eckley, Colorado when Charlie was very young. He attended a a rural one room school through eighth grade and graduated from Eckley High School in 1943. Upon graduating from high school he joined the Navy and served 4 years. He was assigned to the USS Noble. Upon his discharge from the Navy he returned to Eckley and farmed with his father. They sold the farm in 1948 and he moved to Denver. He married Susan Green in 1948 and they had two daughters. They divorced years later. He was employed by Schrader Bros in Denver for many years. He worked in the tunnel for the Carter Lake project in Berthoud, CO and the Dillon Dam project in Dillon. He operated his own service stations in Johnstown and Lakewood for many years. He married Eva Curtis in 1987. They lived in Denver and spent the winters in Arizona. Charlie is survived by his wife Eva; daughters Marilyn (Dwight) Kitano, Luanne (Jim) Dossett; step-sons Jim and Jon Curtis, step-daughter Debbie (Bob) Stokes; granddaughters Kelly, Jennifer, and Sharayah, grandson Kylor Dossett, step-grandchildren, and great grandchild Brooke, nieces and nephews, a brother Myron (Kathy) Lindgren of Loveland and sister Lillian Tuttle of Loveland. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Lora Lindgren. Posted by ALL-VETERANS
