Charlie Sexton, age 74 of Douglas, Ga, passed away on Monday, August 28th, 2023, at Regency Hospital in Macon, Ga. Mr. Sexton was born in Auburndale, Florida to Mr. Charlie Buford Sexton and Mrs. Lydia Jordan Sexton. Survivors include: Beloved Wife; Ann Sexton of Douglas, Ga, One Son; Gregory (Deborah) Sexton of Bartow, FL, One Daughter; Teresa (Mark) Carey, Two Granddaughters; Samantha (Josh) Dusci of Cowart, AL, and Kalissa Sexton of Eagle Lake, FL, One Grandson; Matthew (Kim) Norman of Lake Wales, FL, Two Great-Grandsons; Brian Thompson, and Mitchel Dusci, One Great-Granddaughter; Isabella Norman, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: Father; Charlie Buford Sexton, Mother; Lydia Jordan Sexton, One Brother, and One Sister. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023, from 1PM until 2PM at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, Ga. Funeral service will be on September 6th, 2023, at 2PM at The Chapel of Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, Ga, with Rev. Byron Griffin officiating. Graveside Services will be at 10:00am, Friday, September 9, 2023 at Auburndale Memorial Park.
