Christian J. Glover

Christian J. Glover, age 58, died unexpectedly on Friday, February 17, 2023, in Englewood, FL. Chris was born in Weymouth, MA, and moved with his family to southern Maine in his early childhood. He graduated from Falmouth High School in 1982 and later attended Northeastern University and the University of Southern Maine. In 1987, Chris joined the U.S. Army where he proudly served the country he loved for the next decade, obtaining the rank of Sergeant and earning multiple service awards. Chris was based in several different locations, serving many different roles, including training fellow soldiers during Desert Storm. Throughout his life, Chris' strong work ethic, open heart, generous spirit, and love for the Lord traveled with him, touching hundreds of lives, from Maine to Kentucky, Georgia to Florida, and in every location he was stationed in between. As a drummer, Chris spent time with various bands, while his well-known love for music was most recently shared through evenings of karaoke with friends and with his church, Abundant Life Worship Center. He is survived by his mother, Paula H. Glover; sister and brother-in-law, Lauren F. and H. Allen Shaw, Jr.; nieces, Khrystal E. Parker-Thach and Naomi H. Araya. He was predeceased by his father, Harlan W. Glover. Chris lived life to his own beat and on his own terms, always treating others with polite respect. With his outgoing personality, he was blessed with numerous strong, lifetime friendships that he always considered his extended family. Wherever life brought him, through whatever challenge he faced, Chris always carried with him the greatest love for God, his family, and his country.
