Christopher Gerard O'Donnell
December 19th, 1960 - March 31st, 2017
Christopher O'Donnell passed into the arms of our heavenly father on March 31, 2017 after a fierce battle with colon cancer. He was born on December 19, 1960 in Queens, New York to James Joseph O'Donnell and Rose Marie, his dear mother. He was an avid golfer and fisherman and loved refurbishing junky cars and boats. He provided his family with many bountiful meals of salmon, crab and gifts from the sea. He was employed by the City of Monterey in the Public Works Department at DLI. He leaves behind his wife, Mary, son Christopher Shea, three siblings; James, Patrick and Deirdre, eight nieces and nephews, and most sadly, his adoring pit bull service dog, Leila Peanut Butter. The family wishes to express gratitude to all the steadfast friends, compassionate healers, and prayer warriors who gave spiritual strength. A chapel service will be held at Mission Memorial Park in Seaside, California on Thursday April 6, at 1:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the SPCA's "Take the Lead" program which trains dogs while serving young people in the community.

We Entrusted Christopher O'Donnell's Care To
Mission Memorial Park
For almost 100 years, our cemetery has served the residents of the Monterey Bay Area. Mission Memorial Park opened in 1934 as Mission Memorial Cemetery and for many years was run by the City of Monterey. In 1988, Monterey Peninsula Mortuary opened on the grounds of our beautiful Seaside location. In 2007 we closed our Chapel of Seaside at our Noche Buena location and merged the two to become Mission Mortuary & Memorial Park....
