Clifford E. Chappell, 70, passed away on January 28, 2019 in Phoenix, Arizona. Cliff was born September 1, 1948 in Lubbock, Texas to Laverne and William Chappell. His family relocated to Casa Grande, Arizona in 1951. Cliff graduated from Casa Grande Union High School in 1966, received an Associate’s Degree from Mesa Community College and served in the Arizona National Guard 1966-1972. Cliff married his high school sweetheart, Gloria Don, in December 1969 and recently celebrated their 49th anniversary. His 30 year career with JC Penney included transfers to El Centro, CA, Santa Rosa, CA and brought the family back to Phoenix, AZ in 1986. For 14 years, Cliff was a 7-Eleven franchisee prior to retirement. He is survived by his wife, Gloria, two sons, Scott (Merri) and Derek, three grandchildren, Ben, Jacob, and Kaylee. Cliff is also survived by an aunt, uncle, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Cliff was selflessly devoted to his family, Christian faith and country and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held on February 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Praise & Worship Center 2551 N. Arizona Avenue, Chandler, AZ.
