Clifton Lee Simmons
July 30th, 1994 - August 6th, 2015
Clifton Lee Simmons, III July 30, 1994 to August 6, 2015 Lee was born on July 30, 1994 in Lexington County. He was given to Clifton and Tammy Simmons to love and raise. On August 6, 2015, God decided he needed Lee more in Heaven than we needed him here on earth. He graduated from Airport High School in 2012. He worked many jobs and if he was greasy and dirty he was happy. Maybe his hands are now clean in Heaven. His joys were Ford trucks, fishing, bowling, spending time with his family, friends and especially his girlfriend, Megan Morgan. He was a member of the winning team at the US Youth Games Bowling Championship in 2009. He had also received his Black Belt in Tae Kwon Doe Karate in 2004, 1 day before his 10th birthday. He was also an Entered Apprentice Mason of Gaston Masonic Lodge No. 382. He is survived by his parents, Clifton and Tammy Simmons, Jr.; loving sister, Tiffany; Grandparents: Donald and Mattie Stockman, Cliff and Liz Simmons; Uncles and Aunts: Donnie and Debbie Stockman; Marshall Stockman; Todd and Amy Simmons; cousins: Conrad, Caitlyn Stockman and Travis Simmons. Many other family members, girlfriend: Megan Morgan; adoptive Aunts, Uncles, cousins, "Pops and "Moms" and many, many friends. Lee touched everyone he met with his smile. Pallbearers will be Lee's cousins; Travis Simmons, Conrad Stockman, Paul Simmons and friends; Matt Mills, Billy Miller, Melany Smith, Ricky Geddings, Shay Robinson and Austin Sherman. Service will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, West Columbia on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 4pm. Visitation will be held at the church from 2 pm until 3:45 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society or Pawmetto Lifeline because of Lee's love of animals. We have a zoo at our house and they are all of Lee's animals.

We Entrusted Clifton Simmons's Care To
Greenlawn Memorial Park
Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years. The park also has a veteran's section, private family estates, a columbarium with niches for cremated remains, and an incredible granite mausoleum....
