Clinton "Clint" Eugene Hensley
February 6th, 1960 - January 28th, 2023
Clinton Eugene Hensley peacefully passed away at the age of 62, in Colorado Springs at 1:26pm on Saturday January 28th, 2023, surrounded by the ones he laughed with, lived for, and loved. Clint was born February 6th, 1960 in Jackson, Missouri to Cindy Ruth (Monger) and Rex Eugene Hensley. He was raised in Wichita, Kansas, where he graduated with the Class of 1978 from Derby High School. As a young man, Clint worked at his Grandparent’s Print Shop, his Father’s Car Lots, and started his career as an Aviation Structures Technician at Boeing and Cessna. In the eighties, he relocated to California and worked at several trending Start-ups in Silicon Valley. He met Laura, the love of his life and wife of 32 years, while Jet Skiing on Calero Reservoir, and they married two years later on July 14th, 1990. The couple bought their first Home in Mountain View, their first plane from a family friend, then in 1996, their son Thomas was born at Stanford Hospital. Clint started Tangible Products, Inc., became a Flight Instructor at Palo Alto Flying Club, and he worked for Gold Rush Aviation, and Aerocare. The Family moved to Colorado Springs in 2001 on the quest for new adventures. Clint was a 3rd generation Pilot, Aircraft Mechanic, Flight Instructor, Business Entrepreneur, Community Leader, Realtor, and in 2019 he found his forever-job at Sierra Nevada Corporation. Clint enjoyed racing, boating, scuba diving, skiing, dirt biking, hot rods, running his tractor, beekeeping, RV-ing, camping, spending time in his music studio, and hosting parties for his family and friends. Clint is preceded by his Mother and Father, and is survived by his wife Laura Nanette Hensley and their son Thomas James Hensley, his older children Michael and Amy; his parents-in-law Jimmy Watson and Marion Muhme; his nephew Shawn McCullough, his wife Rebecca and their daughters Twylla, and Elli; his siblings Brooke, Jana, and Lori; his nephews Ryan, Nick, his niece Jessica; his Aunts Mary, Francine, and Frances; his cousins including Danny, Trina, Gary Gene, Dave, Daniel, and Rebecca; his honorary brother Dusty Ray; his best friend Clayton Newman; and all his wonderful friends, neighbors, and coworkers. The highlight of his life, was spending time with his wife Laura and their son Tom, sharing adventures and doing the things he loved.
