Constance L. Rice

Constance (Connie) L. Rice Born in Middletown, Ohio on August 3, 1943, to Carl and Alma Ross, Connie completed this life at home on April 30, 2007 after a four year battle with cancer. She was 63. Her immense love of her family was only exceeded by her love of our Lord. She and her husband moved to Venice, Fl. from Apollo Beach, Fl. in 2004. Connie is survived by her husband of 43 years, Thomas R. Rice; son Wayne W. Rice of Venice, Fl.; daughters Paige R. Hall of Dallas, Ga.; and Dawn D. Jones of Lake City, Fl. She is also survived by two brothers, Richard Ross of Palm Harbor, Fl. and Robert Ross of Oldsmar, Fl. Connie has four grandchildren, Ansley and Austin Rice, Kevin Hall Jr. and Emma Jones. During the past 33 years Connie started and successfully operated four different businesses; Pedals Plus in Tampa, 1970-80, Rice & Rice Yacht Brokerage in Apollo Beach/Ruskin, 1981-88, Old Key West Deli & Caf� in St. Petersburg, 1991-97 and Faux Images by Connie in Apollo Beach 2000-03. Connie was a member of Christ Community Church in Tampa, First Baptist Church of Venice, Venice Art Center, and several ladies bible studies. She has been active in church choirs, as an artist, and as a published writer. Her grandchildren were the delight of her life. She also enjoyed golf, travel and sailing, Connie so appreciated the wonderful people she met along this journey called life. She is now with Him and is thankful that the Lord showed her the way to salvation and eternal life. Memorial service will he held on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 12:00 noon at First Baptist Church of Venice, a reception will follow at the church. Farley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
