November 30th, 0002 - September 9th, 2016
Age 86 of Mendota Heights. Passed away peacefully on September 9, 2016. Preceded in death by his first wife Patricia. Survived by his wife Rosalie; his children Karen (Mark) Freer and Doug (Sandy); Rosalie’s children David (Kelli) Lipp and Lori (David) Stagner; grandchildren Jonathan and Danielle Christensen, Taylor and Connor Lipp, Austin and Evan Hewitt; and his special friend Noah Pierson. Curt served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He attended Control Turret School for B-29 Aircraft. He was stationed in Guam and then transferred to Okinawa during the Korean War. He was promoted to Technical Sergeant and assigned as Armament Chief. He received the Japanese Occupation Medal and Korean Service Medal. Following his military service Curt graduated from North Dakota State University in 1956 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He retired from Unisys in 1991 after a long career in designing computers. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery with military honors, 11AM Friday, Sept. 16. Please meet at Assembly Area # 3 by 10:50AM. Memorial Service 12:30PM Friday, Sept. 16 at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, 1575 Charleton St., West St. Paul. Memorials preferred.
