Curtis Haslee
November 23rd, 1922 - December 14th, 2015
Curtis Oliver Haslee was born on November 23, 1922 in Seibert, Colorado. On December 14, 2015 he went to be with the Lord and his beloved wife Bernice who preceded him in death. Curtis grew up in Seibert before moving to Englewood, Colorado in 1935. He joined the CC camps in 1937 and was drafted into the Army in 1943. He proudly served in 180th division of the Army Corps of Engineers in the Philippines and Okinawa. He and Bernice married in 1941 and had two daughters Cheryl and Vickie. Curtis was a bricklayer for 31 years and helped build the high school that his grandchildren and great grandchildren would later attend. Curtis loved hunting, fishing, long walks, and being with his family. He is survived by his sister Ethel Martin of Albuquerque, New Mexico, two daughters, Cheryl Ashby of Littleton and Vickie Haslee of Highlands Ranch, 8 grandchildren, Tambra and Bill Kennedy, Tracy and Les Van Vleet, Curt and Johanna Reefe, and Stefanie and Jason Dell. As well as 8 great grandchildren, Jason and Donja Kennedy, Brandice Kennedy, Brianne and Logan Price, Bryce Van Vleet, Hunter and Brecken Dell. Curtis had a quick wit and wonderful sense of humor that kept his family laughing until the end. He will be dearly missed.
