Daniel Phillip Erickson, 86, of Cloquet, passed away Saturday, March 23 at home. He was born January 12, 1938 in Cloquet to Toivo and Hannah Erickson. Dan was raised in Cloquet and graduated from Cloquet High School in 1956. He married the love of his life, Dorothy Olson on June 7, 1958 in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Dan was a proud father of five children. He worked as a millwright at Potlatch. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, working on and driving his classic cars, traveling, and relaxing at the cabin. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; son, Randy; his parents; brother, Melvin Erickson; sisters, Genevieve Roehl and Alice Hudson. Dan is survived by his daughter, LeAnne Erickson (Ray Thom), Rochester; three sons, Shawn Erickson, Cloquet, Ross Erickson (Lisa Foster), Cloquet, and Kyle Erickson, Roseville; two sisters, Joanne Anderson, Cloquet, and Bonnie Erickson, Seattle; sisters-in-law, Carol Olson, Cloquet and Shirley (Bernie) Matlock, Cohasset.
