Daniel William Lowther
August 29th, 1955 - October 27th, 2023
Daniel William Lowther passed away on October 27, 2023 at the age of 68. Daniel grew up in College Park Subdivision in Gulfport, Mississippi where the family moved in 1961. He attended St. James Elementary School and Bayou View Middle School in Gulfport. He attended St. Anthony’s Preparatory High School in San Antonio, Texas. After graduating from St. Anthony’s in 1973 he attended several universities in Texas before matriculating from the University of Texas with a degree in English. After university he worked in the oil and gas exploration industry for a number of years. He then changed career to the finance and loan industry. After working for a number of financial companies he started with a partner a loan origination business in Denver. The company, Peerless Mortgage, remained in business for 20 years. Most recently, he was acting as a mentor and loan officer for a large mortgage company. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, William (Bill) and Marie Lowther, Gulfport, Mississippi. Daniel is survived by his twin brother, Michael Lewis Lowther, Tulsa, Oklahoma; by his sister, Sharon Watson, Pass Christian, Mississippi; and younger brother, Brandan Gerard Lowther, Gulfport, Mississippi. He was an avid golfer. He also enjoyed flyfishing, often hiking into the mountains to camp and fish remote streams with a friend.
