Daniel John Messina
June 3rd, 1953 - August 8th, 2023
Daniel John Messina, 70, of Davenport, Florida passed away August 8, 2023, at his residence. He was born on June 3, 1953, in Astoria, New York to Daniel and Delores (Reilly) Messina. Daniel is survived by his wife of 37 years Carol Ann Messina, Mother Delores Messina, sister Carol Messina, stepson Stephen Matthew (Elena) Seiferheld, stepdaughter Lauren Renee Belton and five grandchildren; Cheyenne Haskins, Nyah Seiferheld, Makayla Seiferheld, Angeles Rodriguez, and Paul Rodriguez. Daniel had a huge passion for weightlifting and a huge horror movie buff. Helping others gave Daniel a sense of purpose. He was a retired New York City Firefighter and worked during 9/11. Daniel moved from New York to Florida in 2013 with his wife Carol. He will be missed by everyone. The family will receive friends at Steele's Family Funeral Services on Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow starting at 2:00 p.m.
