Darla Ann Jay passed away January 5th 2022 in Silver City New Mexico. Darla was born to Ruth and Clifford Bowers in Phoenix, Arizona on June 15th 1937. Darla graduated with a degree in education from ASU. Teaching was her passion and she taught elementary school until she retired. Darla loved life and enjoyed the outdoors, crafting and being with her family. She was adored by many and will be missed beyond measure. Darla was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack Taylor, daughter Teppi Maddock, brothers Lincoln, and Lynard, her sisters Klonda, Cathy, and Lynda. Darla is survived by her son Sean Maddock his wife Echo, grandchildren Aaron and Zakkery Maddock and Chantal Hardwick. Great grandchildren Maleeyah Hardwick and Gilbert Graham. Viewing will be held Thursday January 13th at Meldrum Mortuary 52 N. Macdonald Mesa, AZ 85201 from 6-8 p.m. Graveside service held Friday January 14th 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Mesa City Cemetery 1212 N.
