All Veterans Funeral & Cremation - Wheat Ridge
Dave Bevan
April 14th, 1925 - July 3rd, 2012
Dave was born in West Pittston, PA to Kenneth and Ruth Bevan on April 14, 1925. He was known for his great sense of humor, easy going personality, and compassionate nature, making him much beloved by family and friends. Music always had a powerful impact on Dave. As a young person he learned to play piano, trombone and tuba. He later joined a drum and bugle corp. While living in York, Pennsylvania, he continued his passion for music by joining the First Presbyterian church choir. He especially enjoyed singing the Messiah. Dave also served as a deacon at First Presbyterian. During WWII Dave served on an LST as a gunner’s mate. Most of his career was spent in sales, retiring from SEARS in 1987. After retirement he moved to Colorado to be with his daughter Laurie, son-in-law Ron, and grandchildren Josh and Sarah. Although Pennsylvania was “home” in his heart, he enjoyed getting together with family, hiking and cross country skiing while in Colorado. Dave is survived by his wife Barbara, daughter Laura Howie (Ron), grandson Josh Howie, granddaughter Sarah Radke (Andreas), great grandchildren Brode and Bevan Radke, sister Jean Heeps, brother Kenneth Bevan, two nieces, two nephews, and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
