David S. Borum

David S. Borum, 77, of Mesa, AZ, passed away on May 11, 2004 after a short battle with cancer. He was born on January 6, 1927 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Preceded in death by three brothers, Michael, Joseph and Hank; one sister, Beatrice McCarter; and two grandsons, Brian McQuillen and Harvey Blakley Jr. He leaves behind his wife, Anna; two daughters, Patricia Blakley and Brenda Borum; one son, Michael, 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by three brothers, Daniel, Richard and Walter, 2 sisters Jospehine Kornacki and Anna Mae Coveleski. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, a lifetime member of the AMVETS and a member of the American Legion Post 26. He was a 15-year employee of the Marc Center where he was the Transportation Coordinator. His love of life was infectious and he will be sincerely missed by all who knew him. There will be a visitation Thursday May 13, 2004 from 6-8pm with a Rosary at 7pm at Queen of Peace Catholic Church 141 N. Macdonald St. Mesa, AZ. The Funeral Mass will be 9:30am Friday May 14, 2004 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers those wishing to may make donations in his memory to The Marc Center 924 N. Country Club Dr. Mesa, Arizona 85201 or Banner Hospice.
