October 8th, 2019
David Hamilton Elrod, 28, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019. David was born in Columbia S.C. to Terry and Leslie Elrod on July 10, 1991. David was a gentle and kind-hearted man who loved the Lord with his whole heart. The Lord blessed him with a daughter who is just as loving. We know through our faith he is dancing with Jesus (Psalm 30:11-12). For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). We praise God for the time God let us have David. You will always be in our hearts our precious son and daddy. David is survived by his daughter, Autumn Rose Lakes, his parents, Terry and Leslie, a brother Danny Elrod, a nephew, Collins Elrod, maternal grandmother Peggy Carr as well as his aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins. A service for David will be held at Shandon Baptist Church, 5250 Forest Drive, Columbia SC on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. David’s family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Serenity Gardens. Greenlawn Memorial Park
Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years. The park also has a veteran's section, private family estates, a columbarium with niches for cremated remains, and an incredible granite mausoleum....
