David John Paul Mares, 54 of Aurora "When I am gone, release me. Let me go I have so many things to see and do. You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears, Be happy, we had so many years. I gave you my love and you can only guess How much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown But now it's time I traveled alone..." David was born in San Diego, California on June 28, 1963 to his parents, Allen Joseph Mares and Beverly Ann Mintken. He entered Eternal Life on December 16, 2017, at his home in Aurora, Colorado. David attended Aurora Central High School and graduated in 1981. He also, attended University of Colorado in Greeley; He received his degree in Business Marketing and Certificate in Travel and Tourism. David's Career- Coors Brewery - David worked in almost every department. from construction to the glass department for 10 years collectively. City of Aurora - Parks Department for 7 years collectively. David's hobbies and things He enjoyed in life were football, boating, camping, fishing and all outdoor activities. He coached both his son's football teams throughout their lives. David is preceded in death by his Father Allen Joseph Mares; Grandparents, David and Viola Mares; John and Lillian Mintken; Aunt, Barbara Smith. Those to cherish David's memory are his Mother, Beverly Ann Mintken Fishcer; Children, Tyler David Wm Mares, Trevor Allen Stevens, Jovan Lynn Williams (Lyle); Grandchildren, Destiny Williams, Riley Williams and Ariana Stevens; Aunts & Uncles, Chloe Amato, Cynthia Mares de Sanchez, Christopher Mares, Belinda Mintken, Betty Kreifles and John Mintken. And as David would say ..... "It'll blow over" Visitation & Viewing, Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
