David William Moore, Sr.
November 21st, 1944 - January 28th, 2020
David William Moore, Sr., 75, of Gaston, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2020. Born in Greenville, SC on November 21, 1944, he was the son of the late John Hubert and Ruby Stokes Moore and the husband of over 50 years to the late Carolyn Wilson Moore. David loved golfing and spending time with his family. David is survived by his sons, David W. Moore, Jr. and John D. Moore, Sr.; his daughter, Cindy Williams (Glenn); brothers, Lewis Moore (Eather) and Charles Moore; grandchildren, Timothy Williams (Cidney) and Lacey McDaniel (James); great-grandchildren, Landin Williams, Addi Williams, Hampton Williams, Alex McDaniel, and Ash McDaniel; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Hubert Moore and Donald Moore; and a grandson, John D. Moore, Jr. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Saturday, February 1st at Thompson Funeral Home- West Columbia. The funeral service will be held at 2pm on Sunday, February 2nd at Thompson Funeral Home- West Columbia, with Rev. Thomas Vaughan officiating. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens.
