Deanna Lee (Corney) Sanders July 20, 1940 - April 12, 2023 Deanna Sanders of North Port, FL, quietly passed on Wednesday evening, April 12th at the age of 82. Deanna is survived by her loving husband Don, daughter Amy Sanders, son Ron (Jenny) Sanders, grandchildren Zachary, Courtney, and Jessica Sanders, brother Wayne Corney, nephew Matt (Heidi) Corney, great-nephew Paxton Corney, brother-in-law Bob (Glenda) Sanders, nephews Rob, Doug, and John Sanders, and nieces Abigail Sanders and Jennifer Jay. Born in Cincinnati, OH, Deanna graduated from Withrow High School. After graduation, she worked at General Electric where she met Don. After relocating to Fort Wayne, IN, Deanna was active in Jane Addams, PTO (president), and Settlers, as well as her churches. Deanna loved spending time at Lake Pleasant with family and friends, traveling, and wintering in Sarasota and Venice, FL. Deanna is preceded in death by her parents, Herb and Gloria Corney, brother and sister-in-law Robert and Leslie Corney, and sister-in-law Kay Corney. Visitation will be held from 11 am – 1 pm on Friday, April 21 at Farley Funeral Home in Venice. A service will follow at 1 pm, with a graveside service to follow at Venice Memorial Gardens. Deanna loved flowers so they are welcome. Alternatively, donations can be made to Turning Point TV ministry at DavidJeremiah.org.
