Delores Dee Carter
September 17th, 1939 - April 9th, 2015
Delores Dee Carter, 75, of Cloquet, died Thursday, April 9, 2015 in her home. She was born in Cloquet, the daughter of Alfred and Grace Nelson. Delores retired from Potlatch in 1991 and was a member of Cloquet Moose Lodge #1274. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, counted cross-stitch, and fishing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Carter and a brother, Norman Nelson. Delores is survived by her children, Jodie Carter and Bob Carter, both of Cloquet; granddaughters, Bobbie Jo Carter and Angel Carter of Cloquet; brothers, Calvin Nelson (Sandra Karpponen) and Alva "Bubs" (Nancy) Nelson, both of Cloquet; sister, Phyllis Montgomery (Steve) Swendtoff of San Tan Valley, AZ; best friend, Jan Obiedzinski of Cloquet and several nieces and nephews. Memorial Services were held on Monday, April 20, 2015 in Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet followed by a luncheon in the Fireside Room of the funeral home.
