Dennis K. Barfield WEST COLUMBIA—A Memorial Service for Dennis Keith Barfield, 53, of West Columbia, will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2011 in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service. Memorials may be made in Dennis' honor to The Oliver Gospel Mission, 110 Taylor Street, Columbia, SC 29201. Mr. Barfield passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2011. Born in Evansville, IN, he was the son of Dorothy Belle Hatfield Barfield and the late Robert Lawrence Barfield. He has been an area resident since 1983, formerly of Evansville, IN. He loved walking, fishing, watching wrestling and was an avid coffee drinker. Surviving are his mother, Dorothy H. Barfield; sisters, Linda Payne (Thomas) of Townville, Susan Ayers of Lusby, MD, Deborah Hardy of West Columbia and Carol Healy (Scott) of Paradise, IN.
