Dennis "Pecas" Medina

Lifelong San Luis resident, Dennis "Pecas" Medina, entered into eternal glory on December 13, 2021 at the age of 70. Dennis was born in San Luis, Colorado to Francisco "Kiko" Medina and Estrella Burns Medina. Dennis grew up in San Luis, alongside his 8 brothers and sisters. He met the love of his life, Patricia in 1971 and together they have 5 children and 5 grandchildren. He was an avid hunter and loved spending time with friends and family in the mountains. He loved ranching, raising, and racing horses. Dennis was a passionate and talented musician who passed on that passion to his children. He was forever a jokester and took every opportunity to bring a smile to someone's face. He loved his community and had many family members and friends he shared a lifetime with. Dennis is survived by his wife Patricia (Brown) Medina, his daughters Faye Medina, Denise (Chief) Medina, his sons Dennis (Davina) Medina, Michael Medina, his grandchildren Ronnie Payne, Victor Martinez, Sebastian Medina, Micah Medina, and Jihanna Medina, his sisters Wanda Valdez and Sandra "Indian" Romero, his brother Franklin (Vicki) Medina and beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Francisco Medina, his mother Estrella B. Medina, his daughter Stephanie Medina, his brothers Eban, Archie, Virgil, and Steve Medina, his sister Nadine Rascon, and several extended family members. Romero's Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements. The family would like to thank everyone for their kindness during this difficult situation.
