Dennis Lee Woodall

Dennis Lee Woodall, 82, of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, May 23, 2021. He was the devoted and loving husband of Gloria Fay Woodall for sixty-two years. Born November 19, 1938, in Lynchburg, Virginia to the late Herman Richard and Norris Overstreet Woodall. Dennis had a strong passion and love for his family and friends. He retired from B&W after thirty-five years of service and served our country for six years in the Army National Guard. Dennis was a member of the former Memorial Christian Church and the Elks Lodge, BPOE # 321. He enjoyed fishing, playing football, basketball and bowling. Bowling was his favorite sport, throwing a perfect game of 300 in 2005. You could find Dennis most content at home watching his favorite teams, University of Virginia, the Green Bay Packers and the St. Louis Cardinals. In addition to his wife, Fay, he is survived by two sons, Anthony Dean Woodall and his wife, Kelly, and Jeffrey Lee Woodall and his wife, Lenna, all of Forest; seven grandchildren, Alden Brooke Woodall, Andrew Austin Woodall, Ashton Meredith Woodall, Adam Camden Woodall, Christopher Kyle Woodall and his wife, Brittany, Jeffrey Blake Woodall and his wife, Nina, Peyton Gray Woodall and his fiancé, Morgan Moore; three great-grandchildren, Sadie Mae Woodall, Ryan Ellington Woodall and Sutton Layne Woodall. The family wishes to thank the Centra Hospice staff for their dedicated and compassionate care given to our family during this time of need.
