Dennis Wayne Young, age 46, of North Port, Florida, passed away on February 15, 2008. He was born on October 13, 1961 in Troy, Pennsylvania. He moved to North Port 30 years ago from Pennsylvania. He was employed with the city of North Port where he worked in the Utilities Department. He was a big NASCAR fan, enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his mother, Vivian Young of Nokomis; daughters, Amanda (Brian) Haettich, Holly (Paul) Young and Casey (Robert) Young all of North Port; sisters, Linda (Jim) Billig of South Carolina, Jeanette Spalding of Pennsylvania; brothers, Carl (Jean) Young of Pennsylvania, Dave (Maryanne) Young of Pennsylvania, Larry (Cheryl Ann) Young of Kansas; five grandchildren, Jessie Ruccione, PJ Ruccione, Jadon Ruccione, Ember Cuevas and Andrew Haettich. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2008 from 3:00-5:00PM with a service to follow at 5:00PM at Farley Funeral Home in North Port. Memorial donations may be made to TideWell Hospice & Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Florida 34238. Farley Funeral Home in North Port is handling the arrangements.
