Diane K. Vandever of Winter Haven passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Winter Haven Hospital from heart failure. She was 73. A native of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, born March 26, 1940 to Emerson and Katherine Dillen, Diane has lived in the area her entire life. She was a retired Bookkeeper for United Refrigeration, and also volunteered for the Polk County School System at Inwood Elementary. Diane was a member of the American Legion Post #8 Ladies Auxiliary, and attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Diane is survived by her sons: Tony Vandever of Cape Coral, FL and James David Courtney of Winter Haven; her brother, Paul Dillen of Smithville, TN: her grandchildren: Phoenix, Jada, and Alyssa, and a great-granddaughter Katarina. Visitation will be Saturday from 2 to 3 PM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM from the funeral home chapel.
