Dionisio "Dioni" Miranda

Dionisio “Dioni” Miranda, 84, of Clermont, FL passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 4, 1936 in Humacao, Puerto Rico to Dionisio Miranda and Emilia Reyes. Dioni was a proud veteran of the United States Army having served from 1955 to 1961, and received the Good Conduct Medal. He moved to Clermont in 2000 from Queens, NY, he worked in the security industry for 40 plus years and was of the Christian faith. Dioni enjoyed watching baseball and he was known to root for his favorite teams, the NY YANKEES and the NY METS. He also enjoyed watching television, especially Sábado Gigante, and he loved family gatherings, if you ever hosted a family BBQ, you were sure to see him there. Dioni never missed a Thanksgiving or a Christmas dinner. He is remembered as a gentle soul with a heart of gold, he will truly be missed. He was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his wife, of 57 years, Ana R. Miranda; sons, Irving Miranda of Clermont, FL, Mitchell Miranda and wife, Mona of Wayne, NJ, and Juan Carlos Miranda of Humacao, PR; daughters, Iliana Mieses and husband, Roberto of Cape Coral, FL, and Madelin Noorollah and husband, Hanid of Long Island, NY; brother, Ray Miranda and wife, Pat of FL; sisters, Giga Miranda of Humacao, PR, and Esperanza Semester and husband, Rolando of Long Island, NY; as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. A visitation will be held Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. until the service at 11:00 a.m. all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City, Florida.
