Dolores Catherine Giebler
September 6th, 1935 - August 1st, 1922
Dolores Catherine Giebler 1935 - 2022 Dolores Catherine Giebler, age 86, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2022 in Littleton, Colorado. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who proudly raised six children while her husband, Walter served our country in the Marine Corp. Dolores was born in Schoenchen, Kansas to Joseph and Angela Unrein on September 6, 1935. In May of 1954 she traveled solo by train all the way to North Carolina where she married her sweetheart Walter Giebler of Catherine, Kansas at Camp Lejeune. Dolores and Walter continued to live at various locations with the military until retirement in 1973 in California. The Giebler family moved to Colorado in 1974 and lived in Aurora until Dolores and Walter's move to Las Vegas, NV in 1991. They returned to their Colorado roots in the summer of 2012 and continued to live in the area since. During her later years Dolores had the opportunity to travel around the Western United States with her son, his wife and his sister in-law, Sharlene Withers of Sidney, Nebraska who assisted in her care while traveling. During this trip, she enjoyed visiting family, old friends and experiencing many new places. Wonderful new memories were made. Dolores is survived by her children; Michael Giebler (Nancy) of Sandy, UT; Sharon Pingle of Parker, Co; Bruce Giebler (Sherry) of Peetz, Co; Sharlene Killen (Dean) of Valley Center, KS; Saundra Resch (Rich) of Weston, WI; Walter Giebler Jr. (Kristine) of Aurora, Co; 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. a brother Elmer of Strasburg, CO; a brother Norman (Debra) of Portland, OR; a sister Eleanor Unrein-Taylor of Wichita, KS. Preceded in death were Dolores’s husband Walter; parents; Joseph and Angela (Werth) Unrein, brothers, Edwin, Marcellous, Victor, Alvin, Alfred, Richard, Virgil. sisters; Henreitta and Lavora. Dolores was a very generous, strong and spiritual person, who believed in life with the Lord after our time on this earth. She will be missed every moment of everyday by all that loved her, but we are confident she will be watching over us until we meet again. Dolores will be laid to rest by her husband Walter at Fort Logan Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
