Dolores “Joan” Havener Triplett, 87, of Lynchburg, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022, at her home. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Thomas Triplett. Born March 26, 1935, in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Robert Maurice Havener and Marion Marquart Havener. She was retired as an administrative assistant with Wheat First Butch Singer and a member of Timberlake United Methodist Church. Joan had many interests including playing cards and traveling. She also sang in the Early Bird Choir at church and loved being with her family and friends. She is survived by two daughters, Tracy Triplett Scrivener and her husband, Bruce and Terri Triplett Keefer and her husband, Tom; one brother, Robert “Bob” Havener and his wife, Roni; three sisters, Ethel Alamo, Helen LaChase and Peggy Malfi and her husband, Frank; four grandchildren, Lauren Scrivener Howard and her husband, Jonny, Jared Scrivener, Spencer Keefer, and Ragan Keefer. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette Havener Soklaski. The family would like to thank her care givers, Jaleesa Lake, Terri Miller, Nicole Cashwell, Savannah Miller, Anita Johnson, Carol Asprey, Kassidy Kersey, Nina Anderson, Jackie Hall, Tiara Allen, and Mona Goode for their wonderful and dedicated care. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 8, 2022, from 6-8 P.M. and Friday from 10-11 A.M. at Timberlake United Methodist Church followed by a funeral service at 11 A.M. with Estelle Holt officiating. Interment will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Altavista, VA. at 1:30 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Timberlake United Methodist Church, 21649 Timberlake Rd., Lynchburg, VA 24502, or a charity of your choice.
