Donald Ellis

Donald (Don) Charles Ellis, age 91, passed away peacefully at his home in Broomfield, CO after anextended illness. Don leaves behind his loving wife of 60 years Carolyn Faye; daughters Susan EllisNormington, Broomfield, CO, Cathy Gooch (Nick), Henderson, NV; grand-children Dana Schmitt (Chris), Henderson, NV, Meaghan Normington, Denver, CO, Stephen Normington, Denver, CO; great-grandchildren Christopher Schmitt and Katie Schmitt, Henderson, NV; siblings Jack Ellis (Cora) Oriskany Falls, NY, Terrence Ellis, Utica, NY, Beverly Ellis, Utica, NY; and niece Roberta Ellis McMann, Utica, NY. Don was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mary Ellis, brothers Richard Ellis, James Ellis, and Gerald Ellis. After Don passed his sister-in-law, Peggy Ellis died on April 5, 2018, and his brother Robert Ellis passed away unexpectedly on April 15, 2018. Don was a World War II veteran proudly serving our country in the U. S. Navy, submarine division. He was a history buff, a passionate golfer, avid reader, and enjoyed a good political debate. He was educated at Syracuse University and worked in electronic manufacturing management for many years in New York and California.
