Donald "Gene" Franck

Donald "Gene" Franck, of Davenport Florida, passed away at his residence on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11:58am. He passed away from complications from Parkinson's Disease and Dementia at the age of 72. He was a loving husband and an amazing father. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Navy for 20 years. He then moved to Florida, where he met and married his beloved wife, Robin. They were married for 34 years and raised four wonderful children. He is survived by his wife Robin Franck, children, Scott Franck, Dawn Torgerson, Nicole Overbay and Robert Carpenter III; his grandchildren, Ashlee Wells, Victoria Overbay, Steven Overbay, Nicholas Overbay, Zakia Massey, Xavier Carpenter, Robert Carpenter IV, Carlahzia Parks, Kaleb Carpenter and Julius Carpenter; He is also survived by his great grandchildren, Madelyn Dugger and Ariston Wells; his brothers Larry Franck, Dana Franck and Lowell Franck, as well as his step mother Gerry Franck. His ashes will be laid to rest at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, located at 5525 U.S. Hwy 1, Mims, FL 32754 on Friday June 1, 2018 at 10:30am. Following the services (approximately) 2:00pm there will be a Celebration of Life Reception at the Club House within Center Crest RV Park, Davenport Blvd., Davenport, FL 33837. A Memorial Garden will be established in remembrance of Gene.
